Teaching English

Teach English in Australia, or online from anywhere

Australia takes in a large number of international students and migrants every year, and all of them need English language support — which is why qualified English teachers stay in demand here rather than only overseas. There is also a large online market teaching students across South East Asia, which can be done from home and fits around other work.

Two ways in

Which TESOL qualification fits you

The difference is depth, not prestige. Most people teaching casually or online start with the 120-hour certificate; people going into it as a career, or already teaching, take the Diploma. We will tell you honestly which one your plans actually need.

Who awards these. TESOL courses are delivered and certified by our partner training provider. Certification Made Easy arranges your enrolment, advises which of the two suits where you want to teach, and stays with you through it — but we do not deliver the training or issue the certificate, and we never claim to.

These are international qualifications, not Australian AQF ones. They are widely accepted by language schools, colleges and online teaching platforms here and overseas. They are not the same thing as a nationally recognised Australian qualification, and anyone telling you otherwise is guessing. If an Australian accredited TESOL pathway is what you actually need, say so at your free session and we will map that instead — see the Certificate IV in TESOL.

Where the work is

What people do with it

Language schools and colleges

Private language schools, ELICOS colleges and vocational providers teaching international students already in Australia.

Universities and community programmes

University English support units, migrant settlement programmes and community centres running adult English classes.

Online teaching

Platforms serving students across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and beyond. Flexible and genuinely available — though rates and hours vary a great deal by platform.

One honest limit. A TESOL qualification is for teaching English to adults. It does not let you teach in an Australian primary or secondary school — that needs teacher registration and an education degree. If school teaching is the goal, tell us at the free session and we will map that pathway instead of selling you this one.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell us where you want to teach — a classroom in Sydney, or online from home. Half an hour is usually enough to know which qualification gets you there, and whether it is worth the money for what you have in mind.
