Course overview
The Certificate III in Business is the most versatile qualification on this site, and the one people most often underestimate. It is the credential that gets a résumé past the first filter for administration, reception and office support roles — jobs that exist in every industry, in every suburb, and which do not require you to be on your feet or on a site.
The content is practical office capability: Microsoft Office to a level employers actually expect, producing clean business documents, handling customers and complaints professionally, keeping records to an auditable standard, and understanding the basics of payroll and financial administration.
It is also a genuinely useful qualification for people running their own small business without any formal training, and for those who need an entry-level Australian credential to demonstrate workplace readiness. Because it is administrative, RPL evidence tends to be easy to produce — you almost certainly have documents you have created sitting in your email already.

Questions we get asked
For entry-level office roles, yes — it is frequently the difference between a résumé being read and being filtered out, because it signals workplace readiness rather than raw potential. It is also one of the shorter and more affordable qualifications, so the return arrives quickly.
Most partner RTOs offer online or blended delivery for this qualification, which suits people studying around a job or family. Delivery mode varies by provider, so tell us what you need at the assessment and we will refer you accordingly.
Yes, and it is one of the easier qualifications to evidence. Documents, spreadsheets and reports you have produced, your position description, performance reviews and a supervisor reference typically cover a good deal of the requirement. Remove any confidential client or commercial information first.
It is a natural feeder into the Diploma of Leadership and Management, and into more specialised business, HR or project qualifications. A number of our clients do the Certificate III to get employed, then let their employer fund the Diploma.
Business qualifications appear on the NSW subsidised list at various times, and eligibility also depends on your circumstances and existing qualifications. Use our eligibility checker or call us and we will confirm your position rather than guess.
Important. Certification Made Easy is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). We operate solely as a consulting agency, providing advisory and referral services to our clients through our trusted RTO partners.
Course codes, units and any licensing requirements are set by the training package and the relevant regulator, and change over time. Confirm current details with your RTO and, where a licence is involved, with the regulator in your state.
